A drawer assembly and a washing machine having the same are provided to automatically release locking state and pull out a detergent box simultaneously by transmitting a predetermined force to the detergent box. A drawer assembly(200) comprises a detergent box(300), a dispenser, a spring(450), a damper, a fastening unit, and a locking unit. The detergent box is drawn in and out of the dispenser. The spring transmits drawing force to the detergent box. The spring transmits elastic force to move the dispenser. The damper reduces or uniformly sets drawing speed of the detergent box. The fastening unit limits a drawing range of the detergent box. The locking unit keeps the detergent box closed. |
