PURPOSE: A dye-sensitized photovoltaic cell using an ionic polymer and a preparation method thereof are provided to prevent electrolyte from directly touching a transparent electrode and to prevent the back reaction of electrons. CONSTITUTION: A transparent electrode(13) is coated on a substrate. An ionic polymer thin film(12) is formed on the transparent electrode. A photoelectrode(10) is formed on the ionic polymer thin film. The photoelectrode includes an electrode layer. Porous metal oxide including photo-sensitized dye is formed on the electrode layer.
