PURPOSE: A layered interference cancellation (LIC) apparatus and a receiving apparatus thereof are provided to solve an inter symbol interference (ISI) problem by applying an LIC technology. CONSTITUTION: A buffer memory (319) stores a demodulation signal of a previous reception signal, the noise ratio of the previous reception signal, and the noise ratio of a current reception signal. An interference signal generating unit (323) generates a difference value between the demodulation signal and the current reception signal as an interference signal based on a correlation result between the demodulation signal and the current reception signal. An interference removing unit (325) subtracts or adds the interference signal from or to the current reception signal in comparison with the noise ratio of the previous reception signal and the noise ratio of the current reception signal.
