PURPOSE: An earthquake-resistant reinforcing bar and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain a TS(Tensile Strength) of 625-750 MPa, a YP(Yield Strength) of 500-600 MPa, an elongation of 14% or greater, and a TS/YP of 1.25 by controlling alloy components and processing conditions. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an earthquake-resistant reinforcing bar comprises the steps of: reheating the case slab, which comprises 0.28-0.34 wt% of C, 0.20-0.25 wt% of Si, 0.95-1.00 wt% of Mn, 0.004 wt% or less of P, 0.004 wt% or less of S, 0.02-0.03 wt% of Cr, 0.001-0.005 wt% of Mo, 0.003-0.006 wt% of V, and the remaining amount of Fe and inevitable impurities, to 1100-1250°C(S110), hot-rolling the reheated cast slab(S120), and rapidly cooling the hot-rolled reinforcing bar in a tempcore(S130).
