PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for paint, in which higher adhesion is substantially shown for a substrate like an organic coating that has grown old, and that is to improve adhesion of a solid phase paint film.SOLUTION: A copolymer, in which 10 to 90 wt.% of N-vinylimidazole is copolymerized with N-vinyllactam and vinylpyrrolidone is not included as a monomer component, is used for an additive for paint to improve adhesion of a solid phase paint film to a substrate, wherein the proportion of the additive in the paint is 0.05 to 5 wt.% based on the total weight of the paint including the additive. |
