PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to place a special order for an article of footwear that is configured for self assembly and includes customized parts, and to provide a method to place a special order for an article of footwear that is appropriate for the footwear product including a lot of curved surfaces.SOLUTION: This method includes steps of applying customized designs to pre-cut parts, and packaging the pre-cut parts with a lace and a set of instructions into a kit of parts. The kit of parts can be taken home and assembled by the customer. |
