PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage method and a storage facility of a radioactive matter-containing material, which can be rapidly and readily constructed and satisfies storage specifications for each unit period, and of which safety against outside is secured.SOLUTION: A bottom face water shielding layer 10 is laid over the entire bottom surface of a space for storing a radioactive matter-containing material. Housing spaces 3 partitioned by one day storage work are surrounded with radiation shield walls 20, a plurality of bag bodies 2 filled with the radioactive matter-containing material are disposed in the housing spaces 3, and the top faces of the disposed bag bodies 2 are covered by a coating body 30 after one day storage work. In addition, side faces are blocked by the radiation shield walls 20, and the housing spaces 3 each housing the bag body 2 for each one day storage work is isolated from an external space. Furthermore, the storage work of the bag bodies 3 is performed on the upper layer of the housing spaces of the bag bodies 2, and the entire housing spaces 3 and the radiation shield walls 20 are covered by a light-shielding type water shielding sheet 40 of the outermost layer and the like after completion of lamination up to a prescribed number of stages. |
