PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine checking device capable of properly checking the quantity of solid medicines without causing checking trouble due to overlap or contact between the solid medicines and the presence of a packaging paper, and a medicine dispenser provided with the medicine checking device.SOLUTION: A medicine checking device 10 is provided with: a checking unit 14 provided with a plurality of checking regions 26a-26c in which medicines to be checked are disposed; a vibrator 16 capable of generating vibration independently in each of the checking regions; an image capturing unit 18 capable of capturing an image of the medicines disposed in the checking unit 14; a medicine information detector 66 capable of detecting either or both of the quantity and the type of the medicines on the basis of the image obtained by the image capturing unit 18; and a distribution sensor 62 for sensing the distribution of the medicines in the checking unit 14 on the basis of the image obtained by being captured by the image capturing unit 18. In the medicine checking device 10, the vibrator 16 generates vibration in a region selected on the basis of the result of the sensing by the distribution sensor 62 among the checking regions 26a-26c.
