A method and device for detecting the resumption of an interrupted cell is provided by the embodiments of the present invention. The method comprises: after finishing the self-healing process, a base station in the interrupted cell transmits access request information within the covering area of the interrupted cell, in order that user equipment in the covering area access the base station (101) according to the access request information; the base station determines whether there is any user equipment having succeeded in access in a predetermined period, or determines whether the number of the user equipment having succeeded in access in the predetermined period is larger than a predetermined threshold (102); if there is any user equipment having succeeded in access in the predetermined period, or the number of the user equipment having succeeded in access in the predetermined period is larger than the predetermined threshold, the base station confirms that the interrupted cell has been resumed (103). With the method and device in the embodiments of the present invention, the base station, by delivering a message comprising the access request information, confirms, according to the access state or the percentage of successful access of the user equipment, whether the interrupted cell has been resumed, thus ensuring the subsequent operation of the interrupted cell.
