PURPOSE: An absorbing body for reducing discharge noise from a sound barrier tunnel is provided to reduce the noise, thereby significantly reducing the length of the tunnel. CONSTITUTION: An absorbing body (60) for reducing discharge noise from a sound barrier tunnel includes a front panel (61), a rear panel (62), a sound absorbing material (63), and a spacer (64). The front panel has a C-shaped cross section overall, and has multiple around absorbing holes (61a). The rear panel has a C-shaped cross section with ribs, and has multiple sound absorbing holes (62a). The sound absorbing material between the panels absorbs and reduces noise from the sound absorbing holes of the panels. The spacer between the sound absorbing material and the rear panel forms an air layer.
