PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device capable of reliably cutting a recording medium.SOLUTION: A cutting device for cutting a recording medium includes a cutting blade configured to cut the recording medium; a holding means for holding the cutting blade to be movable in an oblique direction with respect to a surface of the recording medium; and a moving means for moving the cutting blade held by the holding means. The cutting blade is moved in the oblique direction with respect to the surface of the recording medium to cut the recording medium.
