The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for transmitting power information by a terminal in a multiple component carrier system. The method disclosed in the present specification comprises: checking a period in which the nth frame from among subframes determined by a first serving cell and the n+1th frame from among subframes determined by a second serving cell are overlapped with each other, or checking a period in which the nth frame from among subframes determined by a first serving cell and the n-1th frame from among subframes determined by a second serving cell are overlapped with each other; and determining power information including maximum carrier transmission power for controlling transmission power of the terminal based on the overlapped period.
