(Also in Group XI] A device for holding together a reflector 2 and a channel member 1 of a lighting fitting comprises a wing nut 7 adapted to screw on to a bolt 6 in the channel member 1, and having a pair of spring jaws 10, 11 for engaging flats 16 on the bolt in the relative angular position of wing nut and bolt in which the wing nut can pass through an elongated hole 2a in the reflector. The wing nut is also held in a second angular position relative to the bolt in which it engages the sides of the elongated hole 2a by a pressure pad 27 adjacent the hole. In a modified construction the spring jaws are either secured to a stay in the channel member 1 or to the bolt 6 and the jaws engage flats on the wing nut. In the further modification shown in Fig. 4, a wing nut 35 screws on to a bolt 30 in the channel member and a projection 37 on the wing nut engages in recesses 36 in a spring- urged catch plate 31 slidably mounted on the bolt and prevented from rotating by projections thereon engaging in slots in the arms 32 of a U-shaped bracket 33 secured to the channel member. The wing nut may be held by the catch plate in two positions ninety degrees apart. |
