PURPOSE: A lamp type ultraviolet light emitting diode assembly and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the degradation of light extraction efficiency due to a refractive index difference by surrounding an ultraviolet light emitting diode with a silicon molding part. CONSTITUTION: A lamp body (10) has a base part (12) assembled by a lead pin. A silicon molding part (20) covers an ultraviolet light emitting diode attached on the base part. The upper surface of the base part has a flat structure. The lamp body includes a protrusion surrounding the ultraviolet light emitting diode on the upper surface of the base part.
