<p>PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display including the same are provided to improve light transmission efficiency by directly offering light of red, green, and blue colors to a crystal lower pixel and a color filter corresponding to the red, green, and blue colors using three color light source arrays corresponding to three color light sources of the red, green, and blue colors. CONSTITUTION: A three-color light source array (1400) is arranged on the lower side or upper side of a light guide plate. Multiple color conversion materials (1410R,1410G,1410B) of the three-color light source array excites short wavelength light which is provided from multiple short-wavelength light sources (1300) to red, green, or blue color. A lenticular lens array sheet (1500) is arranged between the three-color light source array and a liquid crystal panel (1100) and refracts light of three colors which is irradiated from the three-color light source array. The lenticular lens array sheet puts the refracted light in multiple lower liquid crystal pixels.</p> |
