PURPOSE: A system for displaying personal connection information and a method thereof are provided to express personal connections by using a cell unit area or a cell group area, thereby supplying a personal connection map having an improved visual effect. CONSTITUTION: A hierarchical analysis unit (220) generates a personal connection group. A first node of the personal connection group corresponds to a first user of a social network service (SNS). One or more second nodes of the personal connection group are connected to the first node and correspond to one or more second users who have friend setting relation or information providing relation with the first user. A personal connection map providing unit (240) provides a personal connection map. At least one of the first node and the second node is mapped with a cell unit area, which separates a specific area by using a cell unit, in the personal connection map.
