PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction apparatus which can inhibit rapid oxidation or combustion reaction caused by mixing a reaction gas present in a reactor with a regeneration gas present in a regenerator.SOLUTION: The reaction apparatus includes: a fluidized bed type reactor 2 which causes chemical reaction of a raw material gas in the presence of a solid catalyst; a fluidized bed type regenerator 3 which heats a part of the solid catalyst, of which the catalytic activity is decreased by being used in the reactor 2, in an oxygen-containing gas atmosphere to regenerate the solid catalyst so as to recover the catalytic activity; and a pressure controller 6 which controls at least one of the pressure in the reactor 2 and the pressure in the regenerator 3 so that the latter becomes higher than the former.
