<p>PURPOSE: A variable cross-sectional precast concrete hollow slab type transversely-connecting box girder and a bridge construction method using the same are provided to reduce the weight of a slab as much as the section with a variable cross section, and to arrange and extend a pre-stressed concrete (PC) steel wire along the variable cross section which is reduced in the section with the variable cross section. CONSTITUTION: A variable cross-sectional precast concrete hollow slab type transverse connection box girder has 20-50 m of a span which is applied to a simple beam structure, and comprises a lateral upper side, a cross-sectional section, and a central section. Anchor bolts are protruded from the lateral plane of the upper side in the length direction. Arrangement holes of a pre-stressed concrete steel wire are formed along the inclined surface of a variable cross section and the lateral plane of the center part in a variable cross-sectional section and a central section. A settling unit is formed on the entrance where the arrangement holes and both ends of the girder are met.
