RSSIP1 GENE FROM RAPHANUS SATIVUS AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: Raphanus sativus-derived Raphanus sativus salt-induced protein 1 (RsSIP1) gene is provided to regulate environmental stress resistance, thereby developing a transgenic plant with enhanced environmental stress resistance. CONSTITUTION: Raphanus sativus-derived RsSIP1 which enhances environmental stress resistance has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. A gene encodes the protein. A recombinant vector contains the gene. A method for producing a transgenic plant with enhanced environmental stress resistance comprises the steps of: transforming plant cells with the recombinant vector; and redifferentiating plants from the transformed plant cells.
