PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that when there are more passengers in either a lower side elevator car or an upper side elevator car, biased load is applied to a car position adjustment rope located between the upper side elevator car and the lower side elevator car, and a rotational biasing force acts on a car position adjustment drive sieve, and when a brake which has been applied to a car position adjustment drive device for adjusting an interval between the elevator cars is released, the car position adjustment drive sieve is forcibly rotated by the rotational biasing force, which causes impact or vibration to the elevator cars.SOLUTION: A drive force in a drive direction of the car position adjustment drive device, which is determined by a difference in load of the elevator cars, is obtained, and, in a state where the drive force is provided in advance to the car position adjustment drive device, a brake device is released to adjust an interval of positions between the upper side elevator car and the lower side elevator car. |
