摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrowetting display capable of displaying a stereoscopic image without special spectacles, and achieving thinness and downsizing.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an electrowetting display in which each of a pair of substrates configuring one cell has a driving unit. The electrowetting display is configured by bonding a first substrate accommodating a first hydrophobic liquid material in a region surrounded by a first pixel wall and a second substrate accommodating a second hydrophobic liquid material in a region surrounded by a second pixel wall, via a hydrophilic material. In a first substrate side, a voltage is applied to the first hydrophobic liquid material to change a shape of an interface between the first hydrophobic liquid material and the hydrophilic material, and thereby the first substrate is caused to function as a lens. Also, in a second substrate side, the voltage is applied to the second hydrophobic liquid material to change the shape of the interface between the second hydrophobic liquid material and the hydrophilic material, and thereby the second substrate is caused to function as a shutter permitting light via a color filter layer to pass through to the first substrate side.
