PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure having seismic isolation performance and wave isolation performance.SOLUTION: A structure 18 has a lower part housed in a housing part 24 formed in base concrete 17 with a secured predetermined space. A buffer body 35 is mounted along an entire circumference of an upper end of the housing part 24. A seismic isolation material includes: a support 37 installed on the bottom surface of the housing part 24, and comprising a plurality of elastic materials for supporting the bottom surface 20 of the structure 18 with the predetermined space; and a surrounding body 38 made of a fluid viscous material filled in the housing part 24 by the buffer body 35 in an enclosed state. The weight of the structure 18 is mainly received by the support 37, and the resistance with respect to tilting of the structure 18 which buffers the shock of tsunami 47 is mainly received by the surrounding body 38 so that the desired earthquake protection property against the earthquake can be controlled. Filling of the surrounding 38 including the lower side after the bottom surface 20 of the structure 18 is facilitated by the support 37. |
