PURPOSE: A meeting room reservation server and a control method thereof are provided to temporarily approve the access of a user, who reserves a meeting room, in an access gate, which is located in a route to the meeting room, thereby assigning an access authority to an employee when the employee who does not allow the access uses the meeting room. CONSTITUTION: A meeting room reservation server (100) receives a meeting room reservation registration request signal from a user terminal (300). The meeting room reservation server extracts and registers the meeting room user information and the meeting room information from the received meeting room reservation registration request signal. The meeting room reservation server confirms a route to a meeting room corresponding to the registered meeting room information and extracts the information of an access gate (200) located in the route. The meeting room reservation server transmits an access approval signal for a meeting room user corresponding to the user information to the access gate.
