<p>The system has an intake control unit (37) regulating flow of fresh air injected into an internal combustion engine by delaying closure of intake flap with respect to a recirculation flap during transition from a normal combustion mode to a purge mode of a nitrogen oxide trap. An estimation unit estimates an air mass flow (Qmot) injected into the engine, and a measurement unit measures pressure at outlet of the intake flap. A temperature measurement unit measures temperature at the outlet of the intake flap. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling flow of fresh air injected into an internal combustion engine.</p> |
