<p>Composition comprises (a) at least one oxidation dye precursor comprising oxidation bases and/or couplers comprising at least one heterocycle containing one or more non-saturations, and (b) at least one propionic acid compound (I). R1-R3 : 1-30C alkyl, 2-30C alkenyl, 2-30C alkynyl (all optionally substituted by 6-30C aryl, 1-30C alkyl-6-30C aryl or 6-30C aryl-1-30C alkyl, and/or optionally interrupted by at least one O or 6-30C aryl (optionally substituted by R1-R3)), or 1-20C (preferably 1-14C) alkyl (all optionally substituted by at least one halo, preferably F, NH 2, OH or 1-2C alkoxy); R4 : H, 1-30C alkyl, 2-30C alkenyl, 2-30 alkynyl (optionally substituted and/or optionally interrupted by at least one O, -NR-, -N +>(R) 2- groups, 5-6-membered heterocycle (optionally substituted by one or more heteroatom comprising O, N or optionally carrying at least one cationic charge)), 1-30C alkoxy (optionally substituted), OH or NH 2, where the amino carries one or two 1-30C (preferably 2-20C) alkyl (optionally substituted); and R : H or 1-30C alkyl (optionally substituted).
