PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a core-shell type particle having a shell layer comprising silica using only water as a dispersing medium.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a core-shell type particle comprises: dissolving silicic acid or silicate in an alkaline aqueous dispersion medium body in which a core resin particle having active hydrogen disperses; then changing the aqueous dispersion medium body from alkaline to acidity; and thereby forming a shell layer consisting of silica on the surface of the core resin particle.
