PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical frequency comb generating device, which generates an optical frequency comb having variable frequency intervals depending on the intensity of an AC voltage from incident wide-band light (typically white light).SOLUTION: The optical frequency comb generating device includes: a transparent substrate pair 11 composed of a first transparent substrate 111 and a second transparent substrate 112 disposed parallel to each other; a liquid crystal 12 filling a space between the first transparent substrate 111 and the second transparent substrate 112; a mirror pair 13 composed of a first translucent mirror 131 formed on one surface side of the first transparent substrate 111 and a second translucent mirror 132 formed on one surface side of the second transparent substrate 112; a transparent electrode pair 14 composed of a first electrode 141 formed on one surface side of the first transparent substrate 111 and a second electrode 142 formed on one surface side of the second transparent substrate 112; and an AC power supply 15 for applying an AC voltage v between the first electrode 141 and the second electrode 142.
