The valve i.e. suction valve (1), has a valve body (5) inserted in an opening in a cylinder head (3), and including a cylindrical guide (7) for a valve plunger (11). A valve disk (10) of the plunger blocks or releases a fluid flow connection cooperatively with a valve seat (9) in the body. A supply channel (15) for fuel is inserted in an inlet chamber (8) in the body, where the inlet chamber adjoins at the valve seat. The supply channel includes an inclination, which is aligned towards the valve seat. A static sealing surface (17) is formed between an opening bottom wall and the valve body.
