PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator mounted with a compressor in a recess on the top surface of the refrigerator in which the noise and vibration of the refrigerator is reduced.SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes: a box body in which a storage compartment having a door on the front is disposed; and a compressor in which an electric drive element formed of a stator and a rotor and a compression element driven by the electric drive element are housed in a hermetically closed container provided with an upper container and a lower container, and which is disposed in the box body through a resilient member 200 using a plurality of legs 106 secured to the lower container. The resilient member 200 is disposed on each of a plurality of substantially cylindrical pins 108 provided on the compressor installation surface of the box body, and the refrigerator has a compressor stopping control unit for controlling the operation of the compressor when the compressor including a fan air volume adjuster stops, thus reducing the noise and vibration of the refrigerator generated as the compressor stops. |
