PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic film which has high productivity and which can realize high contrast when it is incorporated in a liquid crystal display apparatus.SOLUTION: A thermoplastic film has a retardation axis in a width direction. In the thermoplastic film, a relation: 0.5×Re≤Rth<Re is satisfied and change of an NZ value before and after treatment at 80°C for 100 hours is 10% or lower, where Re denotes retardation in a surface, Rth denotes retardation in a thickness direction and Nz is 0.5+(Rth/Re). |
