This water purification cartridge is provided with: a porous filter membrane inserted inside a housing; a raw water inlet provided on the upper part of the housing; a purified water outlet and first wastewater opening provided on the outer periphery of the housing; and a cup unit that accommodates a lower part of the housing and is also provided with a purified water holding unit and a second wastewater opening. The water purification cartridge can have the following states (1) or (2). (1) The purified water outlet of the water purification cartridge and the purified water holding unit of the cup unit are mated, and the first wastewater opening of the water purification cartridge and the second wastewater opening of the cup unit are linked. (2) The purified water outlet of the water purification cartridge and the second wastewater outlet of the cup unit are mated.
