PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polymer compound by radical polymerization that can decrease a residual monomer efficiently.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a polymer compound includes the following process (I) to process (III). In a process (I), a monomer that has a polymerizable double bond is polymerized until the invert ratio becomes 50-99% in an organic solvent of 0.5-10 times by mass based on a monomer total amount in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator to obtain a polymerization reaction solution. In a process (II), concentration that evaporates the organic solvent from the polymerization reaction solution obtained by the process (I) to adjust a solid concentration to 70-100% and the addition of a radical polymerization initiator are performed to obtain a mixture. In a process (III), the monomer having a polymerizable double bond that exists in the mixture obtained by process (II) is polymerized under the existence of the radical polymerization initiator added by the process (II). |
