摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and to achieve stable printing quality.SOLUTION: A thermal head 10 includes: a laminated substrate 13 in which a planar support substrate 12 and an upper substrate 14 that have an insulating concave portion 21 on opposite surfaces are bonded in a laminated state to block the insulating concave portion 21 and to form an insulating hollow portion 23; a heating resistor 15 formed at a position opposing to the insulating concave portion 23 on a surface of the upper substrate 12 in the laminated substrate 13; a plurality of identification elements 35A, 35B formed on a surface of the upper substrate 12 in the laminated substrate 13 to be set in an open state or closed state; a pair of electrodes 17A, 17B which are connected to both ends of the heating resistor 15, and both ends of the identification elements 35A, 35B, and supply power to the heating resistor 15 and the identification elements 35A, 35B; and identification electrodes 37A, 37B. The thickness of the upper substrate 14 is corresponded to the combination of the open state and the closed state of the plurality of identification elements 35A, 35B.
