PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification device for ice making that can sufficiently sterilize water for ice making in a sanitary manner to ensure safe ice making, and to provide an ice maker with the same.SOLUTION: A water purification device for ice making includes: electrode pairs (22, 22b, 22x, 24, 24x, and 24y) disposed in a water supply tank (12) and generating discharge in water to produce a hydroxyl radical in the water; power supplies (26a, 26x, and 26y); and an ultrasonic wave generation part (94) for radiating ultrasonic waves to the water in the water supply tank (12) so that a hydrogen peroxide produced by a change of the generated hydroxyl radical is converted into the hydroxyl radical. |
