PURPOSE: A heat retaining electric hot wire apparatus is provided to reduce power consumption by controlling electricity supply using a heat retaining characteristic of a heat retaining electric hot wire, thereby improving energy efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A heat retaining electric hot wire (20) is formed by inserting an electric heat generating wire (12) which is not coated into an insulating tube. An air heat retaining layer is formed inside the insulating tube. A temperature control device (40) controls electricity supply using a heat retaining characteristic of the heat retaining electric hot wire. The temperature control device is formed of a power saving switch (41) and a control circuit unit (42). A power supply device (50) supplies power to the heat retaining electric hot wire and the temperature control device. |
