<p>An egg cup, egg dish or egg holder 11 comprises an egg-receiving laterally elongate recess 25 contoured to provide a depression with an elongate opening to receive in use an egg in a lateral orientation. Ribs or grooves may be provided to help hold the egg in place. The recess may be solid or flexible. The egg holder may be provided with a stand whilst the recess may have a hole 26 such that the stand is compressible so as to generate a suction force to secure the egg to the holder and/or the stand to a surface in use. The egg holder may be fabricated from a material with thermochromic properties. In use, contents of an egg 12 can be accessed more easily and securely than with a conventional egg holder or egg cup wherein the egg is mounted vertically.</p> |
