PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform camera shake corrections, even with respect to large camera shakes. SOLUTION: Optical blur correction is performed by driving a correction lens arranged in an optical system, based on a blur detection signal showing a result obtained by detecting blur of the imaging apparatus. A moving locus (all correction lens locus 501) of a position of the correction lens for completely removing the camera shake is fixed based on the blur detection signal during an exposure period of an original image. During the exposure period of the original image, whether the correction lens reaches a drive limit (330) is monitored. When the correction lens reaches the drive limit, the correction lens is stopped at such a point of time, while the blur detection signal in a period in which the correction lens is stopped is recorded. After finishing the exposure of the original image, a point spread function of the original image is obtained based on the recorded blur detection signal, and blurs remaining in the original image are removed based on the point spread function.
