<p>A fixture 10 for fixing a tilt detector 30 to a steering wheel 20, particularly for detecting rotational misalignment of steering wheel 20 in a factory, has a linkage comprising first and second arm members 14, 15 having respective abutment portions 11, 12 abutting an inner side of steering wheel 20, and third and fourth arm members 16, 17 rotatably coupled to a coupling portion 19 having a portion 13 abutting a transversely central position of steering wheel 20. A biasing member 19b outwardly biases third and fourth arm members 16, 17. Tilt detector 30 may be bilaterally symmetrically fixed to first and second arm members 14, 15 or to third and fourth arm members 16, 17. Arm members 14, 15, 16, 17 are preferably curved. Fixture 10 may be fixed to or removed from a steering wheel 20 using little force, and may be used with steering wheels of different diameters. Tilt detector 30 may be a mobile phone or other commercially available device.</p> |
