The invention relates to a method for dismounting and/or mounting a battery (2) for supplying power to a drive engine of a motor vehicle (1), characterized in that it includes: a step of lifting by means of a universal exchange means (10) including at least one holding plate (11), an actuation device (12), and a supporting platform (13) in order to position the holding plate (11) in a bearing position under the motor vehicle so as to achieve a correction in the attitude and a positioning of the motor vehicle at a desired height; a step of lifting the actuation device (12) and the supporting platform (13) so as to engage with a mechanism (5) for locking the battery (2) of the motor vehicle and unlock and/or lock said battery; and a step of supporting and transporting the battery (2) on the supporting platform (13) outside the cavity (6) thereof on the motor vehicle. |
