摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling operation of an elevator is provided to prevent collision of an elevator car by detecting locations of the elevator car in multi-stages in case of continuing codirectional drive after the elevator car is arrived at upward or downward longitudinal floor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling operation of an elevator comprises an elevator car, a count weight, upward limit switches(101,102), downward limit switches(201,202,203), a rope position error detecting switch(204), The count weight is connected with the elevator car through a wire rope and drives opposite to a driving direction of the elevator car. The upward limit switches output effective values if accessing to a first cam attaching in one side of the elevator car. The downward limit switches output effective values if accessing to a second cam attaching in one side of the count weight. The rope position error detecting switch is installed under the downward limit switches. If the effective values for stopping operation of the elevator car are inputted from one of the upward limit switches and the downward limit switches or reactive values are generated due to disconnection with a second cam and a rope position error switch by arriving the elevator car at a downward horizontal floor, a driving control part stops the operation of the elevator car.
