PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing Trichosanthes kirilowii maxim extract is provided to overcome anticancer drug resistance in multidrug resistant cells and to be used as an anticancer aid. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting multidrug resistance contains Trichosanthes kirilowii maxim extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared using water, low carbon number alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, or a mixture solvent thereof. The multidrug resistance is multidrug resistance by P-glycoprotein. A pharmaceutical composition for anticancer aid contains 0.001-50 wt% of the extract. A sitological composition for anticancer aid contains 0.001-50 wt% of the extract as an active ingredient. |
