PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor in which the installation level of a thrust plate is lowered so that the position of the center of gravity of the spindle motor can be lowered.SOLUTION: A spindle motor 1 of the present invention comprises: a shaft 30; a sleeve 20, in a hollow cylindrical shape, having a sleeve upper end 210 and a sleeve lower end 220, for supporting the shaft 30 in a rotatable manner; a base 10 having a support portion 110 in a cylindrical shape, for inserting and fixing the sleeve 20 into a hollow portion formed in the middle of the support portion 110; and a thrust plate 60 that is inserted between the lower portion of the sleeve upper end 210 and the upper portion of the sleeve lower end 220. |
