PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a narrow and reproducible particle size distribution, and to provide a method for forming emulsion-based microparticles, allowing use with both large and small volumes, and being conveniently scaled up while providing predictable emulsion properties.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for preparing microparticles, which method comprises: (a) a step of preparing a first phase, wherein the first phase comprises a solvent, an activator and a polymer; (b) a step of preparing a second phase comprising a solvent; (c) a step of passing the first phase and the second phase through a packed bed under the condition of a laminar flow, to form microparticles; and (d) a step of collecting the microparticles containing the activator. |
