PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide genetically modified enzyme proteins with uricolytic activity, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The invention relates to proteins comprising truncated urate oxidases, a method for producing the same, and PEGylated proteins comprising truncated urate oxidase. The invention also provides an isolated truncated mammalian uricase corresponding to native porcine uricase, and a method for producing a uricase including steps of culturing a host cell comprising an isolated nucleic acid linked to a vector comprising the osmB promoter, and isolating the expressed uricase. |
