PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device and an electric pump unit which are able to minimize heat generation and noise by suppressing over power, and which do not require addition of a hydraulic sensor for suppressing over power.SOLUTION: A control circuit 21 includes an over power suppression control means 32 for suppressing over power by reducing a current command value from a higher-level ECU 19. A control signal output means 31 adds a reduction amount to the current command value from the higher-level ECU 19 to thus obtain a motor control signal. An over power suppression control means 32 compares target hydraulic pressure with current hydraulic pressure, and outputs a current command value reduction amount for over power suppression control to the control signal output means if the current pressure is higher. In the control signal output means 31, gain 1 and gain 2 of gain smaller than that are switchable. In a stage before entering into over power suppression control, the gain 1 is used, and in a stage after entering into the over power control, the gain 2 is used. |
