BIOSENSOR AND BIOMEASUREMENT SYSTEM

A biosensor and a biomeasurement system. The biosensor is used for sensing biological samples. Said sensor can be used to measure blood sugar, for example. The biosensor comprises a substrate (10) and a conductive layer (11). The conductive layer (11) is arranged on a first side of the substrate (10) and comprises a first loop and a second loop. The first loop is formed between a first endpoint and a second endpoint and has a first impedance. The second loop is formed between the second endpoint and a third endpoint and has a second impedance. The result of a comparison of the first impedance and the second impedance determines the code indicating a sensed trait. A measurement device (40) automatically reads and obtains from the biosensor the code indicating a trait. Such a device eliminates the need for keyboard entry of said code or for use of a code card, thereby avoiding the possibility of obtaining an incorrect measurement result and thus improving the overall operability of the biomeasurement system.
