PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that stably operates, performs excellent fixation and further has short warm-up time.SOLUTION: A fixing device 20 includes: a travelable and movable flexible endless belt 21; a belt holding member 43 including guide sections 45 provided at both ends of the endless belt 21 to guide traveling and moving of the endless belt 21; a nip forming member 41 provided to be brought into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the endless belt 21; a pressure member 31 which is brought into pressure contact with the nip forming member 41 via the endless belt 21 to form a nip; and a heat source 40 provided in the inner peripheral surface of the endless belt 21. The fixing device 20 performs fixation by pressurizing and heating a material to be fixed which passes the nip. The guide sections 45 are provided at only an inlet part and an outlet part of the nip, and a tension member 46 is provided to closely contact the endless belt 21 to a guide section 44. |
