PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt-type continuously variable transmission which can be improved in product reliability by effectively performing fail-safe operation of a hydraulic oil supply/discharge valve.SOLUTION: The belt-type continuously variable transmission 22 is configured to open the hydraulic oil supply/discharge valve 110 and also to allow a hydraulic control device 130 to supply a hydraulic oil of a predetermined supply hydraulic pressure Pin to a movable sheave 53, during transition of changing a gear ratio, and accordingly the movable sheave 53 is driven to control the clamping force of a belt 80. An upper limit value of the shifting speed of the gear ratio is set when the holding operation of a valve opening state of the hydraulic oil supply/discharge valve 110 is highly likely to fail. |
