The invention relates to a reinforced epoxy resin, comprising at least one epoxy resin, at least one ceramic filler, and at least one ductility improver, characterized in that at least one additional filler in the form of nanofibers is present. The nanofibers are primarily composed of carbon, and are present as Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT), Double-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (DWCNT), Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNT), Vapour-Grown Carbon Fibers (VGCF), or carbonized polymer fibers, or as mixtures of the aforementioned nanofibers. Fiber composite materials produced using said reinforced epoxy resin have a higher compression modulus and compressive strength. |
