Air intake arrangement for an aircraft auxiliary power unit

Air inlet (2) for a main air flow and an air inlet opening (8) are controlled by flaps movably positioned on an airframe so that both openings are opened when an auxiliary power unit is switched on and are closed when the auxiliary power unit is switched off. The air inlet opening serves for additionally feeding in cooling air (9) for the auxiliary power unit. A mechanical rocker element (4) is provided with an axis of rotation (5) arranged below the air inlet opening. This rocker element is controlled by an adjusting motor so that when the auxiliary power unit is switched off the end part (4a) of the rocker element adjacent to the air inlet closes the air inlet and the other end part (4b) of the rocker element directly adjacent to the axis of rotation closes the air inlet opening.
